Event 9 was won by George Smith on Saturday after he defeated team mate Shane Honeyman in the final. After an impressive 4-0 win over Liam More in the Quarter's Smith continued his fine form by beating Des Mcleod 4-1 in the Semi's. The other semi final saw Honeyman produce some exceptional pool to defeat Adam Beeney 4-2. George kicked off the final in style with an 8ball clearance & then stretched his lead to 3-0 before Shane got himself back into it winning 3 frames in a row. Smith showed his experience to take the next to frames for a 5-3 win. Smith pulled 10 points closer to Ryan Carter at the top of the league in the race to win the shield. Event 10 will be held on Saturday 26th of May @ 1.30pm.
