Event 1 in the Camps Bar Pool Challenge went the way of Camps2 captain Bruce Honeyman. Bruce got past Camps2 team mates Andy Mcwatt & Ryan Carter on his way to beating Liam More in Saturdays Final.
The pick of the opening round ties was Andrew Aitken versus Suzanne Carter, Aitken went 2-0 ahead after two scrappy frames. Carter then pulled back to 2-2 with some fine potting. The deciding frame lasted all but 10 seconds, Aitken foul breaked & then Suzanne smashed the pack with her two shots which saw the black go flying into corner pocket.
Bruce Honeyman's son Shane was on excellent form, but lost out 3-1 in the Quarters to Ryan Carter in a very close match. Harry Candeland was playing well as he beat Des Mcleod 2-0 in the first round, but lost out narrowly 3-2 in the quarters to Liam More.
The semi finals went the way of Honeyman & More as they defeated Carter & Aitken respectively.
The final was extremely attacking as both players looked to get first prize & 10 points. Honeyman eventually won the match & tournament with a 3-2 scoreline over More.
