An extremely high standard of pool was played in event 3 of The Camps Bar Pool Challenge on Saturday, which saw Camps2 player Ryan Carter defeat Blackstairs1 player Alan Stewart (Pie) 3-2 in closely contested final.  Stewart was in fine form all day, comfortably defeating Suzanne Carter in the first round before a close contest with Iain Jones in the Quarters, narrowly defeating him 2-1.  Stewart battled well in the semi's against Charlie Ablett, evetually grabbing a 3-2 win to book himself a place in the final.  The other side of the draw saw two former Captains Cup winners Ryan Carter & Colin Banks face each other in the first round.  Banks showed his intentions early on with an outstanding total clearance to take a 1-0 lead.  Carter brought it back to 1-1 with a fine clearance of his own.  Banks' one error of the match proved costly as Carter took full advantage to win 2-1.  Carter then defeated Liam More in the Quarters with a 2-0 scoreline.  Next up was an almighty battle between Carter & Crown1 player Bruce Davidson.  Davidson played some exceptional safety play & confident potting to take the match to a decider at 2-2.  But experience proved to be the key factor as Carter advance to the final.  Alan Stewart got off to a flyer in the final, taking a 2-0 lead.  But Carter completed an excellent comeback with some great potting to win the match and tournament 3-2.
