George Smith Victorious In Event 4
Posted by Ryan Carter on Tuesday, March 6, 2012
Camps1 player George Smith was on fire last Saturday as he cruised to victory in event 4 of The Camps Bar Pool Challenge. Queens players Harry Candeland and James Dow battled it out in the first round, with Down edging out his team mate 2-0 to book his spot in the quarter finals. Camps1 player Liam More was on top form as he knocked out Camps2 player David Hendry in the first round. James Riach and Silver Fox were locked in a tactical battle, but Riach kept his cool as he progressed in the tournament. George Smith and Bruce Honeyman secured their places in the semi's with wins over James Dow and Des Mcleod respectively. Liam More played a great match in the quarters but was just edged out by the winner of Events 2 & 3, Ryan Carter. Team mates Riach & Carter met in the semi final & as expected both players put on a masterclass for the spectators who were watching on the big screen. Riach got the better of Carter with a 3-1 win to progress to the final. The other semi final saw Smith complete 3 fantastic clearances (one an 8ball clearance) to beat Honeyman 3-0. The final went the same way for Smith, completing some excellent clearances to beat Riach 3-1.
