A great turnout of 32 players competed for The Bayview Christmas Pool
Title, in a 2-day event in Lybster.
The top half of the draw saw Camps2 captain Bruce Honeyman cruise
through to the final, after defeating Sammy Bain, Rob Cheetham, and
Andrew Keith without dropping a frame.
The other half of the draw saw Ryan Carter defeat Stuart Mckenzie, Angus
Mckay and Perry Campbell, all being close 2-1 victories.
The final between the two Camps players was hotly contested, and it was
Carter who capitalized on Honeyman's missed chances to clinch a 3-0 win.
Wick & District Pool League's division one will reach its halfway
point on Monday. League leaders Camps2 will look to stretch their
unbeaten streak when they face Blackstairs2 at home. Blackstairs1 will
host Crown1 in what is expected to be a close match. Queens will
entertain Camps1, and Francis St CLub1 and Seaforth Club take the trip
out to Lybster to face Bayview1 and Commercial.
