Blackstairs1 and Camps2 will meet in the final of The Wick & District Summer Pool League next Monday after both teams narrowly fought their way through their semi final matches.
Perry Campbell's Blackstairs1 side edged out Bayview 6-4 in a close match.  Hamish New was playing well and helped Blackstairs take a 3-1 lead, but Bayview levelled the match at 3-3 after winning both their doubles frames.  The next two frames were shared before Campbell and New sealed their place in the final with two fine singles wins.
Ryan Carter's Camps2 side got off to a great start against Sinclair Bay, taking a 3-1 lead after the first set of singles.  Greg Simpson and Milky Ronaldson were impressive as the Keiss team won four frames in a row to lead 5-3.  The Camps side needed to win the remaining two frames to take the match into overtime, and great performances from Honeyman and Carter ensured they done just that.  The match was then tied at 6-6 as both teams looked for the two frame advantage that would take them into the final.  Once again, Honeyman and Carter produced some exceptional pool winning the next two frames for an 8-6 victory.  Camps2 and Blackstairs1 will battle it out on Monday night at a neutral venue to see who becomes the first ever winners of the Wick & District Summer Pool League.
