Sinclair Bay Division 2 Champions

Sinclair Bay defeated Harper's 8-3 on Monday night to become Wick & District Pool League's Division 2 champions. The Keiss side (Captained by Greg Simpson) secured their place in division one next season with a great team performance. Jordan Tait & Greg Simpson were the standout players of the night winning all 3 of their games. James Davidson handled the pressure extremely well to pot the championship winning black ball.
Mountain Dew1 edged out their rivals Mountain Dew2 with a 6-5 win in a highly entertaining match. Francis Street Club2 and Bayview2 have re-arranged their match after Monday's game was postponed.
Camps2 have all but won the division one title after demolishing Commercial 10-1. All Camps players were on top form, with James Riach's total clearances in his doubles the highlight of the night. With only 3 games remaining, Camps2 will have to suffer three heavy defeats in order to fail in their attempts to become champions for a sixth time. A win next monday over Blackstairs1 will officially crown Camps2 division one winners.
Bayview1 & Crown1 remain six points behind the leaders after 7-4 victories over Seaforth Club and Camps1 respectively. Bayview1 captain Steve Atkins completed a fantastic total clearance in his singles. Camps1 started well against Crown1 as they took a 2-0 lead with wins from George Smith and Liam More. Alan Larnach's Crown1 side then took control of the match and ran out deserved winners.
Both Blackstairs teams continued their fine form with Perry Campbell's Blackstairs1 side comfortably beating Queens 9-2 and Ryan Cook's Blackstairs2 side edging out Francis Street Club1 6-5.
