Sinclair Bay Defeat Top Side Bayview1

Sinclair Bay have moved up to fourth place in division one after an outstanding 9-3 victory over league leaders Bayview1 on Monday night. Andrew Mackenzie and Greg Simpson both put in phenomenal performances for the Keiss side, winning all of their games to help their side secure a well deserved three points. Ryan Carter was the standout performer for Camps2 on Monday, helping his side to a 9-3 win against The Commercial to move to within one point of league leaders Bayview1. Carter had three visits to the table for the Camps side, clearing the table each time to win all three of his games. Crown1 also recorded a 9-3 win, with Scott Risbridger and Stevie Cunningham both knocking in total clearances in their home tie against Blackstairs. Tam Sutherland and Alan Steven got their Retro1 team off to a great start to go 2-0 ahead at home to Camps1. Shane Honeyman's fantastic 8-ball total clearance pulled a frame back for Camps1, before James Ross put Retro 3-1 ahead. Mark Alexander helped reduce the deficit once again, but Andrew Edwards played well as Retro went 4-2 up after the singles. Camps1 would win the next two frames to level the match at 4-4, and neither team could be separated for the rest of the match as it ended in a 6-6 draw.
The Queens Hotel are now the only team in division two not to lose a match, as they move five points clear at the top of the table. Another impressive team performance earned them an 8-4 victory against Mountain Dew. The Francis Street Club won their second league game of the season, thanks to a 7-5 win against Crown2 which see's them move up to fifth place in division two. Danny Innes and Brian Munro got the club side off to a great start to lead 2-1, but the young Crown team would fight back to win the next four frames for a 5-2 lead. The Francis Street Club would prove once again they are side who never give up, winning the remaining five frames with Graham Harper sinking the matching winning black. Brian Munro won all three of his games for FSC in this match, continuing his fantastic form so far this season. Wins from Kevin Beales, Craig Durrand and Dale Johnston saw the Seaforth Club take a 3-0 lead against Retro2, before Alan Steven pulled it back to 3-1. The club side would then push on, winning three of the next four frames to take a 6-2 lead. A tremendous comeback from the Retro team helped them fight back to 6-5, but Donald Coghill sealed the three points for the Seaforth in the final frame to win 7-5. Harpers made the trip out to Lybster, and came home with all three points as they ran out 9-3 winners.
