Wick & District Pool League's defending champions Camps "2" showed on Monday night why they are hot favorites to win a 7th league title by demolishing Harper's 11-0.  All six members of the Camps side played exceptionally well in a one-sided affair.  Last seasons runners up Bayview "1" have also got off to a great start this season as they secured another two points by defeating The Mountain Dew.  Seaforth Club produced the upset of the night when they beat Crown "1" 7-4.  Luck was certainly not on the side of the experienced Crown side but the Seaforth lads took their chances well as they won their first two points of the season.  Crown "1" now face the daunting task of trying to overturn a 6-1 1st leg defeat against Camps "2" in the cup next Monday.  The Blackstairs derby match went the way of the first team as they came back from 4-3 down to win 7-4.  George Zindilis' Commercial side enjoyed at 10-1 trouncing of Bayview "2" in the Lybster derby.  Aidan Ross was the star player for Camps "1" this week as they notched up another victory, this time defeating Crown "2" 7-4.  The Queens got off to a great start in their match against Sinclair Bay, taking a 3-1 lead.  However, when Michael Aitken potted the chalk instead of the ball it somehow seemed like it was not going to be their night.  Sinclair Bay then took complete control of the match as they came back to win 8-3.
