The Seaforth Club won the division two title in style on Monday night, in their first ever season in The Wick & District Pool League.  A long grueling opening frame was eventually won by Gary McAlpine putting the Seaforth Club 1-0 up against Bayview2.  The pre-match nerves started to settle as the soon to be crowned champions raced into a 4-0 lead, with some fine play from Greg Beveridge, Craig Durrand and Kevin Beales.  David Malcolm lost the next frame, but it was made up for with an excellent victory for Dale Johnston to make it 5-1.  The next frame saw The Seaforth Club erupt in celebration as Greg Beveridge cleared the table to officially crown them second division champions.  In their debut season they also reached the semi finals of the Rockwater Shield, so next seasons first division is sure to be interesting with The Seaforth Club involved.
Queens2 missed out on the second division title despite defeating Mountain Dew1 7-4.  In a closely contested match, fine performances from Brian Robertson and Jim Bain saw them finish the season on the same points as The Seaforth Club, but some distance behind on frames.
The other match in division 2 saw the bottom two teams battle it out, with Crown2 getting the better of Sasa's Cellar Bar with a 6-5 win.
In division 1, Camps2 remain 2 points clear at the top with an impressive 8-3 victory over Crown1.  The three key factors in this match were the overall team performance, Bruce Honeyman's outstanding total clearance and Ryan Carter winning all three of his games for the second week in a row.
Bayview1 kept themselves in the title race after their 7-4 victory over The Commercial in the Lybster derby.  The Commercial gave it their all, including a total clearance from Willie Bain, but it wasnt enough as the Bayview side got the win they needed.
The Francis Street Club were on fire on Monday night as they brushed aside Blackstairs1 with an 8-3 win.  Alan Steven and Martin Mcleod completed excellent clearnaces in their singles, and captain Andrew Edwards clinched the match by sinking the all important black.
The other match in division 1 saw Blackstairs2 destroy Sinclair Bay 9-2 with an excellent team performance, and barring disaster they now look safe from relegation.
