Retro1 put in the performance of the night to defeat Bayview1 7-5 in week 9 of the 2014\15 Wick & District Pool League season. In their debut season in division one, Retro1 remain undefeated and sit in third place in the league.  Bayview1 took an early 2-0 lead through wins from Angus Mackay and TeddGunn, but fine play from Alan Steven helped pull one back for Retro.  The Lybster side would then take a 5-3 lead, but some excellent teamwork from Retro saw them win the last four frames to win the three points.  James Ross and Tam Sutherland combined extremely well in the final frame, producing some outstanding pool, and it was Sutherland who potted a difficult black to clinch victory for Retro1.  Alan Larnachs Crown1 side remain at the top of division one by one point, thanks to an impressive 9-3 away win against Sinclair Bay.  Colin Banks' 8-ball total clearance in his doubles frame was the highlight of the night for the Crown side.  Camps2 moved up to second spot after an impressive display of pool in their 8-4 derby victory over Camps1.  Ryan Carter's 7-ball clearance got Camps2 off to a good start, but Shane Honeyman pulled one back for Camps1 after defeating Ian McDonald.  Camps2 took control of the match and would win the next six frames to win an important three points.  Blackstairs Lounge and The Commercial could not be separated on Monday night, as both came away with a point after a 6-6 draw.  Queens Hotel held on to their five point lead at the top of division two, thanks to a hard fought 7-5 win against Bayview2.  Retro2 continue their good form this season, and their 7-5 win against Harpers keeps them In second place.  Craig Durrand's Seaforth Club side move up to third place in division two, as they cruised to a 10-2 win over Crown2.  The other match in division two saw Mountain Dew and the Francis St Club battle it, with the match ending in a 6-6 draw.
