The Queens pool team recorded their most important win of the season on Monday night, and now move out of the relegation zone after their 7-5 win over the Seaforth Club.  James Dow got the Queens team off to a good start, before Kevin Lightly leveled the match at one frame each.  Kevin Beales and Craig Durrand played well to give the club side a 3-1 lead, but wins from Brian Robertson and Jim Bain made it 3-3 at the halfway stage of the match.  After the next two frames were shared, it was Robertson and Bain who teamed up well to give Queens a 5-4 lead.  Harry Candeland and Dow made it 6-4 before Keith Bremner and Adam Scollay won the all important frame to earn the Queens a vital three points.  Greg Simpson's Sinclair Bay side now drop into the bottom two as they could only manage a draw against Crown1.  With Camps2 dropping points in their draw against Commercial, Bayview1 are now only behind the league leaders on frame difference.  The Lybster side edged out Blackstairs 7-5 in a close match, and with only two league matches remaining the top three teams all have a chance of lifting the division one trophy at the end of the season.
Retro2 and Camps1 continue their impressive run of form in division two and are still in joint second place, as both teams are equal on points and frame difference.  Camps1 won 9-3 away to Bayview2 and Retro2 clinched an 8-4 victory over the Mountain Dew.  Harpers have moved up to fourth place after an impressive 7-5 win against the Francis Street Club, and division two champions Retro1 cruised to a 9-3 win against Crown2.
The second legs of the Rockwater Shield semi finals take place next Monday night as Camps2 host Crown1 and Francis St Club face The Commercial.
