The Queens Hotel kept up their undefeated streak on Monday night and remain at the top of Wick & District Pool Leagues division two.  Harry Candeland was the key player for Queens as he helped his side to a comfortable 8-4 victory over Francis Street Club.  Retro2 and Mountain Dew are also still undefeated with both teams in joint second place, two points behind the league leaders.  The Retro side won in convincing fashion, defeating Bayview2 10-2, and Mountain Dew were held to a 6-6 draw against Seaforth Club after leading 6-4.  The other match in division two saw Crown2 defeat Harper's 7-5 to clinch their first three points of the season.
Alan Steven's Retro1 side earned their fourth draw of the season, as his team showed great tenacity to come back from 6-4 behind to share the points with Camps2.  Arthur Bruce's 8-ball clearance was the standout moment in the Lybster derby match, as Bayview1 cruised to a 9-3 win againts The Commercial.  Greg Simpson's Sinclair Bay side won their first match of the season, after a hardfought 8-4 win against Blackstairs.  Jordan Tait looks to be back to his best, as his total clearance proved to be the best performance of the match.  Scott Risbridger, Alan Stewart and Colin Banks won all three of their games for Crown1 to help them to an 8-4 home win against Crown1.
The first round of the Rockwater Shield gets underway next Monday night, with the tie of the round seeing Crown1 host defending champions Camps2.
