B-fest Pairs & Summer League

May 3, 2013
The 3rd Annual B-fest Pairs Championships will be held in the Francis Street Club on the 18th/19th of May.  Entry fee is £10 per pair, and your partner must play for the same league team as you.  Each team may enter up to 3 pairs.

3 tables will be used on the Saturday for the group stages (12pm start) with the Semi's and Final being played on the Sunday.  You can enter for this by calling/texting me on 07450993155.

Last years first ever Summer Pool League was a great success and in my opinion a much more enjoyable format to play in than the winter league.  Teams consist of 4 players, and each player gets 2 singles games and a doubles game.  10 frames are played so a 5-5 draw is a possibility.  Each team plays each other once & then the top 4 go into the semi finals where you must win by 2 clear frames.  Last year's semi final between Camps2 & Sinclair Bay turned out to be a classic with the match going into overtime.  Camps2 won the match 8-6 before going on to beat Blackstairs1 in the final.

Closing date for entries for the 2013 Summer Pool League is the 31st of May.  Fee's are the same as the winter league at £20 per team.  I will probably organize a meeting near the end of May to sort out fee's and to discuss any ideas you may have to further improve things.
