Queens2 Win Close Encounter

January 24, 2011
The Queens2 played their game in hand against Bayview2 on friday night and were victorious.
The match was extremely close, and the only difference between the 2 teams was the exceptional play from Queens' Jim Bain as he potted 3 game winnig blacks for his side in a 6-5 victory.
Monday night see's the top 4 teams in division 1 meet each other as The FSC play Bayview1, and The Camps2 play Blackstairs1.  These matches should give us more insight into the title challenge.  Will the league become even CLOSER? or will one team stretch their lead? We will find out soon folks.

The Night Of 6-5's and a 10-1

January 18, 2011
Newly Promoted Camps1 recorded their 3rd win of the season, beating the on form Crown1 side in a 6-5 thriller.
With the first 4 frames being shared, Camps1 captain Liam Ewart played a great frame to put his side 3-2 up.  However, the Crown team are known for their battling attributes and won three of the next four frames to go 5-4 ahead.  Andrew Mcleod, George Smith and William Ewart then combined well in their trebles frame to take the match to a deciding frame.  And it was Camps1 playe...

FSC In Rockwater Semi-Finals

January 14, 2011
Thursday night saw the Francis St Club play their 2nd leg quarter final tie against The Commercial.  After leading 6-2 from the first leg it looked certain that the on form FSC lads would get the job done and book themselves a place in the semi-finals.  But it wasnt as straight forward as that, as The Comm showed great passion to win the match 6-2 taking it to a 6man V 6man tiebreaker.  The Commercials magnificent comeback was thwarted in the tiebreaker as Martin Mcleod played a great frame, ...

CC Qualifers Update

December 23, 2010
First of all id like to thank people/bars for their comments/emails on the IDEA of Captains Cup Qualifiers.  Most people seem to really like the idea.  Unfortunately there seems to be a minority who think i was trying to create these tournaments to get CAMPS PLAYERS into the CC.  This not only offends ME, but pretty much EVERY TEAM.

Therefore, these tournaments will now NOT go ahead.  I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone (including bar/club owners) on behalf of the idio...

Rockwater Q-Finals Update

December 21, 2010
The Rockwater Shield Quarter finals took place on monday night, with defending champions Camps2 going through 12-7 on aggregate against the Crown1.
The 2nd leg was the complete opposite of the first as there was some outstanding pool on show.  Ian Mcdonald completed a fantastic total clearance, grannying Thomas Sutherland to make it 3-2 to the Camps. Only one frame was required to put the Camps2 out of reach and Alec Thomson cleared a difficult table to help put his team in the semi-fin...

Before i go ahead and organize this, i want to hear from all of you!!!! Whether u think this is a good idea or not. so after reading this, go to the home page and give a yes or no in the chatbox.

Bayview & Seaforth UNDEFEATED

December 14, 2010
Gameweek 6 in the Wick & District Pool League saw the top 2 teams battle it out as Blackstairs1 hosted Bayview1.
As expected the match was closely fought, and after all of the singles games had been played it stood at 3-3.
The next 4 frames were shared, taking the match to 5-5.  Now it was a matter of who could hold their nerves in a vital deciding frame.
In a tense frame, it was Bayviews Johnny Mackay who showed nerves of steel by doubling an outstanding yellow to set himself up perfectl...

Rockwater Shield Q-Finals

December 7, 2010
The first leg of the Rockwater Shield Quarter Finals took place on Monday with 2 of the matches being postponed due to weather conditions.
Defending Champions Camps2 faced off against The Crown1 with both teams looking for that advantage to take into the 2nd leg.
All of the singles matches could have went either way but it was the Camps2 that took a 4-2 lead.  The first 2 doubles matches were shared taking it to 5-3, and the Crown looked like they were going to fight their way back into t...
