James Dow On Fire For Queens
March 27, 2012The Queens pool team have given themselves a fantastic chance of avoiding relegation thanks to an impressive 9-2 win over Francis Street Club1. A loss for the Queens side would have seen them relegated to the second division, however James Dow was in magnificent form as he lead his side to victory. A weakened Camps1 continued their losing streak as they were outclassed by an on form Seaforth Club. Camps1 and Queens will meet next Monday in the last match of the season. The winner of the match will avoid relegation providing Bayview1 defeat Francis Street Club1. If Francis Street Club1 win their match next week, both Queens and Camps1 will be relegated.
Blackstairs2's efforts to climb the table to second place were dealt a blow as they lost out 6-5 to Commercial in a very close match.
Six times division one champions Camps2 notched up another two points with a 6-5 win over Crown1. The highlight of the match was Bruce Davidson's excellent clearance in his singles, which ended with him escaping a snooker to knock the black into the corner pocket.
Perry Campbell's Blackstairs1 side got back to winning ways with an 8-3 win over second placed Byaview1.
