The Mountain Dew have joined the Queens Hotel at the top of Wick & District Pool League's Division Two, thanks to a convincing 9-3 victory over Crown2 on Monday Night.  Andy Bunn's Mountain side got off to a great start and took a 3-1 lead, but Crown2 bounced back to trail 4-3.  Mountain Dew took control of the match and won the five remaining frames, with John Cowie and Michael Sutherland winning all three of their games.  The Queens Hotel secured another three points this week thanks to a hardfought 8-4 win away to Harpers.  The Seaforth Club clinched their second win of the season as they defeated Bayview2 8-4 out in Lybster.  The star performer of the match was Kevin Beales, who knocked in an 8-ball clearance in the opening frame.  The other match in division two saw a tight affair as Retro2 hosted the Francis Street Club.  The home side played well to take a 5-2 lead, but the Francis St Club worked hard to battle back into the match as they trailed 6-5 with one frame to play.  Retro2 would hold their nerve to win their first game of the season.  Michael Geary put in an excellent performance for the Retro side, and Chrissy & Craig Nicholson won all of their frames to help their side to a 7-5 win.
Lybster's Bayview1 moved to the top of the first division thanks to a convincing 9-3 away win against the Blackstairs.  Crown1 trailed 6-3 against defending champions Camps2 but played well to win the last three games to earn a draw.  At 6-5 down, it was Stevie Cunningham who made a fantastic 6-ball clearance to win an important point for his side.  Andrew Mackenzie was the standout player for Sinclair Bay as he helped his team go 6-4 ahead in their home match against Retro1.  The last two frames were extremely close, but it was the Retro side who would win them to end the match in a 6-6 draw.  George Zindilis got his Commercial side off to a good start away to Camps1, but wins from Suzanne Carter, David McGillivray, Robbie Powell, and Mark Alexander saw the Camps race into a 4-1 lead.  Eddie James pulled one back for Commercial, but Camps2 proved to be stronger in their doubles games to earn a 7-5 win.
