Details About Joining The SPA

I have been asked by a few Wick players if i would consider running qualifiers for our players for the Scottish Pool Assiciation's IM events for 2015.
The IM's are 5 national ranking events held throughout the year at various venues around the country, which you can qualify for through local qualifiers. It is £30 to enter and become a member of the SPA aswell as being added to the national ranking list. Players will gain ranking points, starting in the qualifers depending on how far you get. This is a great opportunity for any local pool players who want to take their pool to the next level.
Aswell as the 5 ranking events, there will be a 6th event for all players who did not earn any money in the previous 5 IM's. So whether you want to challenge yourself to qualify for the IM's or you just want to battle with your mates to see who can get further up the rankings then i highly recommend joining. All qualifying matches are best of 11 aswell so your getting plenty of pool/match play for your money.
There are already a few of us entered, and if we can get a decent amount to enter then Wick & District Pool League will become affiliated to the SPA and the qualifiers will go ahead.

Joining does not mean that you have to play in every event. And even if you qualify for an IM finals and it is on a date that you cannot make, there is no problem in pulling out of the event (you will still get your ranking points for the stage you reached).
