Ryan Cook's Blackstairs side recovered from a 6-4 first leg loss against Bayview to book their place in the Rockwater Shield Quarter Finals thanks to a 6-2 second leg win. The defending champions put in an excellent team performance to knock out the experienced Lybster team. They will now face Camps2 in the next round in a repeat of last years final.
Camps2 captain Bruce Honeyman was the standout player in their match against Sinclair Bay, winning all three of his games. Jordan Tait had a break & clearance in his singles game, but the battling Keiss side went out 12-7 on aggregate.
Craig Durrand's Seaforth Club produced the comeback of the night as they faced off against Crown2. The club side lost the first leg 6-2, but an impressive display of pool saw them win the second leg 6-1. They will now face Graham Harpers Francis St Club side in the quarter finals, as they defeated Bayview2 12-7 on aggregate.
The Commercial remain on great form as they beat Queens 6-5 and go through 12-6 on aggregate. They will face the Mountain Dew next, who went through with a 12-6 win over Camps1.
It was a perfect night for Crown1 as all six players won their singles to defeat Retro1 6-0. Retro2 await them in the quarters, as they recovered from a first leg defeat to go through 11-9 on aggregate.
The Children In Need pool tournament takes place in the Camps Bar on Saturday 16th November. Names must be in before 1pm on the day. Call Ryan on 07450993155 to enter.
