An outstanding team performance from Crown1 saw them knock Bayview1 off top spot thanks to an 8-4 victory in week 11 of the Wick & District Pool League.  Ted Gunn and Alan Larnach both completed total clearances for their respective teams in this match, but Willie Miller was the man of the match as his superb play helped him win all of his games.  Bruce Honeyman's Camps2 side move back to the top of division one after an extremely hard fought victory against Greg Simpson's Sinclair Bay side.  Simpson and Gordie Steven got the Keiss side off to a great start as they stopped their opponents from potting a single ball in the opening two frames.  The Camps team then won five in a row, before Sinclair Bay battled well to get themselves back into the match at 5-4 down.  Carter and Honeyman took the next frame, before Alec Thomson sealed the three points which puts the Camps2 side back to the top of the league.  Bottom sides Queens and Seaforth Club both lost out again this week, losing to The Commercial and Blackstairs respectively.  The Lybster Comm side were dominant in a 9-3 victory, and an 8-ball clearance from Alan Forbes helped Blacktairs to an 8-4 win.  Division two champions Retro1 kept up their impressive 100% record in the league, as they defeated the Francis Street Club 10-2 in a one sided affair.  Retro2 and Camps1 remain in joint second place with only two frames separating the promotion hopefuls.  Retro2 recorded a 7-5 away win against Harpers, and Camps1 defeated Mountain Dew 7-5 in a game that saw David Mcgillivray knock in an impressive total clearance.  The second divisions bottom side Bayview2 continue to improve, as they battled to a 6-6 draw against a good Crown2 side.
