Alan Larnach's Crown1 side have knocked seven times champions Camps2 out in the first round of the Rockwater Shield.  The current holders had a mountain to climb after the Crown's outstanding performance in the first leg.  Camps2 looked to be on course to turn things around in the second leg at 4-2 ahead, but failed to capitalize on a number of opportunities, and Crown1 won the frame they needed to book their place in the quarter finals.  Mark Alexander and Lesleyanne Begg were the star performers for Camps1 on Monday night, as they defeated Retro1 6-4 for the second week in a row.  Camps1 will now face a tricky test in the quarter finals against Bayview1, who eased to a 12-5 aggregate win over Retro2.  Lybster's other two sides (Bayview2 & Commercial) also won a place in the quarter finals.  The Comm ran out 12-5 winners against the Seaforth Club, and Bayview2 worked hard to earn a 12-9 win against Crown2.  Sinclair Bay were extremely close to turning around a 6-3 deficit against Blackstairs but ended up losing out by one frame.  The Keiss side were 5-3 up in the second leg, but went in off in frame nine, giving Blackstairs two shots on the black to win the frame they needed to progress.  Queens Hotel's 6-5 win against Mountain Dew was enough to see them through to the next round where they will face The Commercial.  Last years finalists Francis St Club also booked their place in the quarters after defeating Harpers in both legs.  Brian Munro, Michael Innes, and Danny Innes were all on form on Monday night and played a key part for the club side.
