Alan Larnach's Crown "1" side produced an outstanding team performance on Monday night as they ran out 6-5 winners against defending champions Camps "2".  Despite sinking both the black & white in two frames, Camps "2" went 3-2 ahead early in the match.  The next frame saw Stevie Cunningham clear the table in style to defeat David Hendry and level the match at 3-3.  Alan Stewart's outstanding potting ability helped him knock in a marvelous 7-ball clearance as his Crown side took a 4-3 lead.  Crown "1" showed no signs of faltering as they took the next two frames to secure a well deserved victory over the reigning champions.
Tam Sutherland's Blackstairs "1" side won their third game in a row with a 7-4 win over The Mountain Dew in a close match.  Ryan Cook's Blackstairs "2" team showed no mercy in their match against Bayview "2", crushing them 11-0.  Former Camps "2" player James Riach knocked in an impressive 8-ball clearance for his new side.
The Queens lads had every reason to celebrate on Monday night as they mounted an impressive comeback from 5-2 down to The Seaforth Club to win 6-5.  Craig Durrand made two fantastic doubles to beat Jim Bain in the early stages and the Seaforth side raced into a 5-2 lead.  A number of missed opportunities proved costly as The Queens took full advantage to win a vital 2 points.
The Commercial also came back from 5-2 down to defeat Sinclair Bay 6-5 in a very close match.
Bayview "1" handed Camps "1" their first defeat of the season and now sit top of the table.  Steve Atkins and Andrew Keith were the key players for the Bayview side as they ran out 9-2 winners.
George Baker's Harper's team got their first win of the season thanks to a 7-4 win over Crown "2".
The 2012 Children In Need Pool Tournament takes place in the Camps Bar this Saturday 17th. Entry is £5 and names must be in before 1.30pm.
As a mark of respect, there will be no pool played next Monday night which will allow players to attend David Dunn's memorial service.  David was an integral part of The Francis Street Club pool team when they won the first division championship.  Matches are to be rearranged and played on Wednesday 21st of November.
