Before i go ahead and organize this, i want to hear from all of you!!!! Whether u think this is a good idea or not. so after reading this, go to the home page and give a yes or no in the chatbox.

After New Year i plan to have 8 tournaments (8 seperate venues most likely) with £3 entry where the winner will not only earn themselves a bit of cash but win a guarenteed place in the 2011 Captains Cup.  Each team will still have the right to put 2 players in as usual.  THESE ARE FOR EXTRA PLACES.  The reason i think this is a good idea is because there is usually quite a few people who would like to play in the captains cup but cant because either they werent picked or didnt win their play off.  These tournaments will give people the chance to earn a place.  Obviousley if you already know ur gonna be playing in the 2011 Captains Cup theres no need to take part in it.  If you did, and WON, then the runner-up would get the place.

There are 11 pubs/clubs in The Wick & District Pool League, so bars/clubs that are interested in holding one of these tournaments please email or text me.  if there are more than 8 pubs/clubs interested, then we will draw 8 out.  I think a friday night is best to do these qualifiers with a 7.30pm kick off.

These tournaments will only be open to someone who has played at least ONE game in the pool league THIS SEASON.
