Camps2 are now six points clear at the top of Wick & District Pool Leagues Division One.  The five time champions were given a helping hand by Ryan Cook's Blackstairs2 side, who defeated Bayview1 7-4 in an impressive win.  With only four matches remaining in the league, it looks highly unlikely that either Bayview1 or Crown1 will catch them.  Camps2 continued to rack up the points with a 6-5 win over Camps1 in a highly entertaining derby match.  Andrew Mcwatt left his opponent with 7 balls and Bruce Honeyman completed an 8ball total clearance as they helped their side take a 5-0 lead.  Camps1 battled back to 5-3 but David Hendry quickly halted the comeback with a fine clearance to clinch the match.
Crown1 climb to second in division one after a hard fought 6-5 win against Francis Street Club1.  Stevie Cunningham continued his great form for Crown1 this season with an 8ball total clearance in his singles.  FSC1 were 5-4 ahead and only one frame away from victory but Colin Banks' pressure clearance leveled it at 5-5.  Crown1 then took the deciding frame with Cunningham potting the all important black.
Stuart Mckenzie remains on excellent form for Blackstairs1.  The two time Captains Cup winner completed another total clearance this week as he helped his side to a 7-4 win over Commercial.
Queens and Seaforth Club were locked in an almighty battle on Monday night as both teams look to secure a place in the first division next season.  All the luck seemed to go against the Queens in this match as they eventually lost out 6-5.
Francis Street Club2 remain on good form in the second division this season, securing themselves another two points with a 7-4 win over Crown2.  Bayview2 were very impressive in a 9-2 win against Mountain Dew1, and Sinclair Bay remain top after an 8-3 win against Mountain Dew2.
The top two teams in division two meet next Monday, where the winner will be big favourites to win the title.
Event four of the Camps Bar Pool Challenge will be held in the Camps Bar on Saturday 3rd March at 1.30pm.  This competition is open to anyone who wishes to play.  Entry fee is £6.
