Monday night saw four top class teams fight it out for a place in The
Rockwater Shield cup final. Second division league leaders The Seaforth
Club fought to the death in their semi final match against The Francis
Street Club, but at 5-5 in the second leg disaster struck as they potted
the black and white to hand victory to The Francis Street Club with a
12-10 aggregate scoreline.
The other semi final saw Camps2 go into
their match versus Bayview1 with a 6-2 lead from the first leg. Camps2
quickly secured their place in the final, winning 3 of the first 4
frames. then going on to finish off the tie with an aggregate scoreline
of 12-5. The match saw some of the best pool played this season, with 3
grannies being recorded. Camps' Andy Mcwatt and David Hendry, and
Bayview's Angus Mackay all grannied their opponents with Mcwatt and
Mackay completing total clearances.
The Francis Street Club will meet
defending champions Camps2 in the final on April 18th in a neutral
venue.
