Week two in The Wick & District Pool league saw Ryan Cook's Blackstairs2 side record an impressive 6-5 victory over their rivals Blackstairs1.  Alan Forbes and Ryan Cook put them 2-1 ahead but were pulled back to 2-2 thanks to Perry Campbell.  John Martin and Keith Budge outsmarted their opponents to put Blackstairs2 4-2 ahead, Blackstairs1 once again kept within a frame as Tam Sutherland and Hamish New won their doubles.  Blackstairs2 then closed out the match by winning the next two doubles matches, gaining a well deserved two points.
The Seaforth Club hosted Crown1 in what turned out to be a very good match.  Craig Durrand was close to completing a fantastic 8-ball clearance but fell short as he missed the all important black.  Stevie Cunningham then got himself right back into it with a fine clearance to put Crown1 2-1 ahead.  Grant Budge and Greg Shearer put in good performances as the Crown lads went 4-2 up after the singles.  Crown1 then clinched the match, taking the next two frames with 5-ball clearances from Colin Banks and Stevie Cunningham.
The Lybster derby went the way of Bayview1 defeating The Commercial 7-4 in a close match.
Camps2 remain top of the league after a solid 8-3 win over The Queens, and Camps1 upset FSC1 with a 6-5 win in a tense match.
In the 2nd division Sinclair Bay and Sasa's remain undefeated as they recorded impressive wins over FSC2 and Crown2 respectively.
The other match in division 2 saw Bayview2 get their campaign off to a great start with an 8-3 victory against Mountain Dew2.
