Monday night saw George Zindilis' Commercial team mount an outstanding comeback in their Rockwater Shield second leg tie against Blackstairs2, only to lose out in a 12-man play-off frame.  The Lybster team trailed 6-1 from the first leg but played exceptionally well to win the second leg 6-1 taking the match to a 6 versus 6 deciding frame.  Blackstair's player Alex Rosie secured his side a semi final place with a well executed clearance to win the tie for Ryan Cook's Blackstairs2 side.
They will meet Sinclair Bay in the semi finals, after the Keiss side recorded two 6-1 wins over Camps1.  Milky Ronaldson played extremely well as he helped the Keiss side book their place in the next round.
Last seasons beaten finalists Bayview1 were extremely impressive in both legs of thier tie against Seaforth Club, booking their spot in the semi's with a 12-1 aggregate scoreline.
They will meet Camps2 in the semi finals which is a repeat of last seasons final.  After defeating Blackstairs1 6-2 in the first leg, the defending champions went one better as they secured a 6-1 second leg victory.  David Hendry, Martin Hill and Ian Mcdonald were all on form, with all three completing excellent finishes.
Camps2 & Blackstairs1 also played their league match on Monday night, with the Camps side coming out on top with a 9-2 win.
Martin Hill won event one of the Camps Bar Challenge Shield last Saturday beating Shane Honeyman 4-1 in the final.  Event two will be held on February 9th at 1.30pm.  This competition is open to anyone & players can enter by calling the league secretary on 07450993155.
