Blackstairs "2" & Camps "2" Record 10-1 Wins

Blackstairs2 & Camps2 played some exceptional pool in game-week 8 of the Wick & District Pool League on Monday night as they both demolished their opponents 10-1. Ryan Cook's Blackstairs side played away to The Queens in what was expected to be a close match. James Riachs 8 ball clearance early on kick started what was an impressive team performance, which see's them move up to fifth in league table.
Bruce Honeyman's Camps side travelled out to Lybster as they met George Zindilis' Commercial team. It took the Camps side under an hour to seal the points as they raced into a 6-0 lead. The next few frames saw Ryan Carter record an 8ball clearance, Ian Mcdonald knocking a nice 7ball clearance and Honeyman playing well to leave his opponents with all 7 balls remaining on the table. The Commercial avoided a whitewash by winning the last frame of the night to get a consolation frame.
Crown1 and The Mountain Dew were involved long tough battle as the game went to a deciding frame. The Mountain lads put in a good performance to take a 5-3 lead but were pull back to 5-5 by a Crown side who were determined not to lose. Crown1 captain Alan Larnach potted the winning black ball to secure a vital 2 points which takes them up to second in the league.
Seaforth Club move up to sixth in the league table after a hard fought 7-4 win over Camps1. The opening two frames were shared as Dale Johnston and Liam More secured wins for their respective teams. Suzanne Carter played extremely well to defeat Seaforth captain Craig Durrand in the next frame as Camps1 went into a 2-1 lead. George Smith won a black ball frame against Aidan Ross to pull it back to 2-2. The next two frames were shared, before the Seaforth Club won three in a row to win the points.
Steve Atkins' Bayview1 side are still two points clear at the top of the table as they battled to a 7-4 win over Blackstairs1.
Sinclair Bay move up to fourth after a 9-2 victory against Harper's, and Crown2 continue to climb the table thanks to an 8-3 win against Bayview2.
Wick & District Pool League takes a break now for the festive period and returns on the 7th January 2013 with the quarter finals 1st leg matches.
