Bayview1 were victorious in the Lybster derby this week in the Wick & District Pool League, defeating the Commercial 7-4 in a high quality match.  Steve Atkins Bayview side took a 5-0 lead, which included a fantastic 8-ball clearance from Ted Gunn.  The Commercial fought their way back into the match, but it wouldnt be enough as Bayview1 clinched the two points to remain in 2nd place.  Bayview1 will face Camps2 next Monday in a top of the table clash.  The Camps team remain top after a 9-2 victory over Queens, with James Riach's total clearance in the opening frame the highlight of a well contested match.
Crown1 are keeping themselves in the title race, coming back from 3-2 down to win 5 frames in a row against Seaforth Club. 
The battle of the Blackstairs teams went the way of Blackstairs1, defeating the second team 7-4 in a close match.
Camps1 are back in the relegation zone after losing out 6-5 to Francis Street Club1.  Greg Thomson was in outstanding form for the FSC, completing an 8ball total clearance in his singles.
Harper's closed the frame difference gap at the top of division two, with a flawless performance which saw them demolish Crown2 11-0.  George Baker and Robbie Steven were on fire, with both of them clinching total clearances, grannying their opponents in the process.  Amanda Heddle was also on great form for Harper's, competing a fantastic clearance in her trebles match.
Sinclair Bay remain top of division two, coming back from 5-3 down to win 6-5 against Francis Street Club2.  Bayview2 climb to third after a hard fought 6-5 win over Mountain Dew2.
The Camps Bar Pool Challenge continues on Saturday 4th February.   The tournament is open to anyone who wishes to enter.  Entry is £6 with a start time of 1.30pm.
