Bayview Defeat Sinclair Bay

Bayview defeated Sinclair Bay in week three of the Wick & District Summer Pool League thanks to some exceptional play from Ted Gunn and Andrew Keith. The Lybster pair helped their side take a 3-1 lead after the first set of singles. Sinclair Bay pulled it back to 3-3 as they took both doubles frames. Gunn and Keith were impressive again in their second singles, sealing the three points as they took a 6-3 lead. Greg Simpson defeated Steve Atkins in the final frame to end the match 6-4 to Bayview.
Blacktairs1 remain in second place thanks to an 8-2 win against The Queens. Stuart Mckenzie, Perry Campbell and Tam Sutherland continued their excellent form this season, winning all of their games. Danny Cormack and Jim Bain got the two consolation frames for The Queens side.
The Commercial were on form on Monday night, putting in a good performance against the league leaders Camps2. The two teams could not be separated in the early stages with the match tied at 2-2, but the Camps side were impressive in their doubles frames as they stretched their lead to 5-3. George Zindilis defeated Bruce Honeyman in the next frame to pull the Commercial side to within one frame of snatching a draw. The last frame saw Ryan Carter eventually defeat Robertson in a close game to secure another three points for Camps2.
Blackstairs2 forfeited their match against Camps1.
