Alan Larnach's Crown1 team showed great battling qualities on Monday night as they came from 3-0 down to defeat Retro1 6-4 in the first round of the Rockwater Shield.  Fantastic clearances from Stevie Wyllie and Alan Stewart in the last two frames helped the Crown side gain a narrow lead in this first leg match.
Second division side Crown2 defeated division one's Seaforth Club in the upset of the night.  The Crown second team have been in great form so far this season, and a 6-2 win here gives them a great chance of progressing to the next round.
George Zindilis' Commercial side are now the only team who hold a 100% record in both league & cup competitions this season.  A fantastic team performance saw them defeat the Queens 6-1 in their first leg match.
Six time Rockwater Shield winners Camps2 earned a comfortable 6-2 victory away to Sinclair Bay.  Good performances from Alec Thomson, Martin Hill and Ian Mcdonald helped them take a 5-2 lead, before captain Bruce Honeyman sealed the win for the Camps Bar side.
The Francis Street Club defeated Bayview2 6-4 in a close match, and the Retro2 v Harpers game went all the way to a deciding frame with the away side snatching a 6-5 win.
