Robbie Powell was the standout performer on Monday night as he helped his Camps2 side secure an important 9-3 victory over Retro in week six of the Wick & District Summer Pool League.  Powell was extremely impressive as he knocked in two total clearances in the first set as Camps2 avenged their defeat to Retro earlier in the season.  David Hendry kept up his consistent form this summer as he too knocked in an 8-ball clearance.  Defending champions Camps1 remain at the top of the league as they made it five wins out of five after earning an 8-4 victory away to the Commercial.  The Camps side seemed to be cruising at 5-1 ahead but the Lybster team done well to fight their way back into it to trail 6-4.  Dave McGillivray and Alan Gibson clinched the final two frames for Camps1 as they kept their 100% win record intact.  The other match this week saw Greg Simpson's Sinclair Bay side get back to winning ways after a 7-5 win against Mountain Dew.  The Keiss captain proved to be the key difference between the teams, as he won all three of his games and potted the match winning black.
