Camps Bar "1" earned a 7-4 victory over Camps2 in the first leg of the 2015 Wick & District Pool League final, as they look to successfully retain their championship.  Bruce Honeyman played exceptionally well in the early stages as he helped his Camps2 side take a 2-0 lead.  Camps1 were given a morale boost as Ryan Carter won the next two frames to level the match at 2-2.  Shane Honeyman kept the momentum going in Camps1's favour, as he defeated David Hendry 2-0 to stretch his sides lead to 4-2.  Willie Alan Mackay pulled one back for Camps2 thanks to a 7-ball clearance, but an inspired performance by Alan Gibson helped Camps1 retain their two frame advantage at 5-3.  Dave McGillivray made it 6-3 which meant Camps1 required only one frame to win the first leg.  Carter had a chance to end the match at 7-3 but would miss a cut to the middle, allowing Camps2 to pull one back.  The next frame saw Shane Honeyman complete his man of the march performance by defeating his father Bruce to seal a 7-4 victory.  It's still all to play for in next Monday's second leg, but Camps2 will need to reach seven frames before Camps1 get five to have a chance at winning the cup.
