Camps Bar "1" and The Queens Hotel booked their place in the 2014 Wick & District Summer Pool League final, after both sides recored 8-7 deciding frame victories over Retro "1" and Camps Bar "2" respectively.  Both semi final matches ended in 7-7 draws, so a one frame shootout would decide this seasons finalists.  WIns from Shane Honeyman and Mark Alexander would help the Camps "1" side take an early lead, but Retro's James Ross (total clearance) and Bobby Gunn would level the match at 4-4 after the first set of singles.  Camps "1" then won three frames in a row to lead 7-4 but Retro showed great determination to claw their way back to tie the match at 7-7.  Mark Alexander showed great composure in the deciding frame to secure Camps "1" a place in the 2014 final.  The other semi final would be a carbon copy as Queens Hotel and Camps Bar "2" battled to a 7-7 draw in a high quality match.  Good play from Colin Banks and Alan Stewart helped the Queens side get off to a great start, and they would then go on to lead 7-4 and one frame away from victory.  Some good finishing saw Camps "2" battle back to 7-7, but Queens captain Perry Campbell won a nerve racking final frame to take his side into a second successive final.
