Camps Bar "1" Go Top In Week 2

Suzanne Carter's Camps Bar "1" side defeated the Francis Street Club 8-2 on Monday night to go top of the Wick & District Summer Pool League.  Shane Honeyman's fantastic break & clearance in the opening frame got the Camps Bar team off to a perfect start, and they would win five of the next six frames to secure a well deserved three points.  Mark Alexander, Dave Mcgillivray and Honeyman were all in great form again this week, with all three players yet to lose a singles game so far this seaso...

Queens & Camps Teams Off To Winning Start

The Queens Hotel got their Wick & District Summer Pool League title defense off to a great start on Monday night thanks to an 8-2 away win against the Mountain Dew.  Perry Campbell's side raced into a 6-0 lead to secure all three points in their opening match of the 2014 season.  Campbell and Scott Risbridger won all three of their games for the Queens Hotel on their way to a comfortable victory.  An exceptional team performance from 2012 champions Camps Bar "2" earned them an impressive 9-1 ...

Summer Pool League Info

  • Nine teams will compete for 2014 Wick & District Summer Pool League in a league format, with the top four teams qualifying for the semi final play-offs.  All league games are 10 frames (4 singles, 2 doubles, and 4 more singles) and you get 3 points for a win & 1 point for a 5-5 draw.

  • There will be a player of the season award at the end of the season, so if your team wants their players to be in the running for this you MUST hand in your score card to the Camps Bar by 1pm on the Tuesday.  Alte...

2014 Summer Pool League

Here are the first weeks fixtures. Monday 19th of May.

Mountain Dew vs Queens Hotel
Camps Bar "2" vs Francis St Club
Sinclair Bay Hotel vs Retro "1"
Retro "2" vs Camps Bar "1"
Free Week = The Commercial

All 9 teams will play each other once (each team has 4 homes & 4 aways) and then the teams who finish in the top 4 will progress to the semi final play-offs.

League games are the same as last year (10 frames. 4 singles, 2 doubles, 4 singles). 1 point for a draw and 3 points for the win.
