Carter Defeats Riach To Win Charity Event

Camps "2" player Ryan Carter defeated former team mate James Riach in the final of the third annual Children In Need Pool Tournament this past Saturday. Carter defeated Des Mcleod 3-1 in the last 16 before he went on to face 2 time champion David Hendry in the quarter finals. Carter (who was defeated 3-2 in the previous two years finals against Hendry) exacted his revenge as he won 3-0 against his Camps "2" team mate. Another 3-0 win in the semi finals (This time against Camps "1" player Liam More) saw him reach his third final in a row. Riach defeated Greg Thomson in the last 16 thanks to a 3-1 scoreline, and then went on to face an in-form Mark Mcdonald in the quarters. Mark was playing well and left Riach with 7-balls as he knocked in an 8-ball clearance to take the match to a deciding frame. A close match ended with Riach edging out Mcdonald 3-2. Shane Honeyman put up a good effort against Riach in the semi-final but lost out 3-1. The final was played to an extremely high standard which saw Riach take a 3-2 lead after some close tactical frames. Carter left Riach with 7 balls on the table in frame 6 before winning the decider to become the 2012 Children In Need champion.

Camps2 Defeat Camps1 8-3 To Win Shield

Bruce Honeyman's Camps2 side defeated Suzanne Carter's Camps1 team 8-3 to win the Camps Bar Challenge Shield. Ryan Carter showed no mercy in the opening frame as he left his partner (Suzanne) with 7 balls on the table. Bruce, Martin Hill & Ian Mcdonald helped the Camps2 side take a 4-0 lead. Campbell Wins Event 12 In Style

Blackstairs "1" Captain Perry Campbell showed off his full potential last Saturday to Win Event 12 of The Camps Bar Pool Challenge. He was narrowly defeated by Ryan Carter in the final of event 11 4-3, but got his revenge this time around by knocking out Carter 3-1 in the quarter final. Camps2 player Ryan Carter progressed through a tough field of players on Saturday to win Event 10 of The Camps Bar Pool Challenge. Event 9 was won by George Smith on Saturday after he defeated team mate Shane Honeyman in the final. Ryan Carter kept his winning streak intact after winning his sixth event out of 8 last Saturday. Camps2 player Ryan Carter won his fifth event out of seven on Saturday in the Camps Bar Pool Challenge. Carter eased through to the semis where he met Camps1 player George Smith.
