Camps "2" player Martin Hill played exceptionally well in Event 1 of The Camp's Bar Challenge Shield to take home the prize money & 10 points. Martin won a very tight Quarter Final match against Seaforth Club's George Smith 2-1, before beating Camps "1" player Donald Manson 3-0 in the semi finals. The other half of the draw saw Suzanne Carter defeat Ian Campbell 2-0 in the last 16 and then beat Aidan Ross 2-0 in the Quarters to reach the Semi Final. Shane Honeyman beat Ciaran Duffy 2-0 in the last 16 and then produced an outstanding performance against the current holder Ryan Carter, beating him 2-0 in a clinical fashion. Shane & Suzanne battled it out in the Semi's but three very close frames were won by Shane as he booked his spot in the final. Experience proved to be the key factor in the final, with former Captains Cup winner Martin Hill getting the better of Shane Honeyman with a 4-1 win.
Event 2 will take place on Saturday 9th February at 1.30pm.
