The first tournament of 2013 was won by Camps2 player Ryan Carter, after defeating two of his team mates on the way winning this past Thursday.
Martin Hill put up a good fight against Carter in the quarter finals but was edged out 3-1. Carter then went on to beat Shane Honeyman 3-0 in the semis.
Bruce Honeyman was playing exceptionally well on Thursday as he recorded two 8ball clearances on his way to the final. After defeating Suzanne Carter in the last 16, he went on to go 2-0 up against Ciaran Duffy. But Ciaran played some excellent pool to level the match at 2-2. Experience proved key, as Bruce won the deciding frame. Greg Thomson was also on form on Thursday as he made it to the semi's after defeating Des Mcleod and Aidan Ross, but he lost out 3-1 to Bruce.
Ryan quickly went into a 2-0 lead in the final, but Camps2 captain Honeyman fought back well to tie the match at 2-2. A back and forth deciding frame was eventually won by Ryan to win the first tourney of 2013.
