A high quality final in the Camps Bar on Sunday saw Crown2 player Andy Smith win the deciding frame against Ryan Carter for a 4-3 win. Andy beat John Cowie 2-0 in the first round before beating Shane Honeyman in the quarters 3-1. Camps1 player Ciaran Duffy played very well to get himself into the semi's, defeating James Riach 2-1 then Mark Macdonald 3-0. Andy & Ciaran both played well in the semi's but Andy grabbed a 3-0 win. Ryan Carter quickly went 2-0 ahead in his quarter final match against George Smith, but Smith battled back to 2-2. Both players missed chances to win in the decider, but some bad luck saw George pot both the black & white to lose out 3-2. Ryan then defeated Des Mcleod 3-0 in the semi's after Des narrowly defeated Suzanne Carter 3-2 in the quarters. Ryan & Andy matched each other all the way but it was the Crown player who was victorious.
