Alan Larnach's Crown1 side recovered well after last weeks defeat to Bayview1, as they secured the three points in a 8-4 home win against Sinclair Bay. Colin Banks got the match underway with a fantastic total clearance, and his Crown team would go on to race into a 5-0 lead. Greg Simpson's Keiss side got themselves back into the match by winning three of the next four frames, but it was Crown1 who held their nerve to win the two frames that would give them victory. The 2014/15 Wick & District Pool League season got underway on Monday night as sixteen teams looked to get their campaign off to a winning start. The big match in divsion one saw last years second and third placed teams (Bayview1 & Crown1) go head to head out in Lybster. Both teams have strengthened their squads significantly over the summer, but it was Bayview1 who hit the ground running as they clinched an impressive 8-4 win.
