2014/15 Rockwater Cup Kicks Off

The first round first legs of the 2014/15 Rockwater Shield got underway on Monday night, with Lybster teams Bayview1 and Commercial earning healthy leads to take into next weeks 2nd leg ties.  Dale Johnston of The Seaforth Club got his side off to a good start, but George Zindilis' Commercial showed great desire to win all of the remaining frames to score a 6-1 first leg win.  Steve Atkins' Bayview1 team made the trip through to Wick to face Retro2, and would come away with a well deserved 6-...

Details About Joining The SPA

I have been asked by a few Wick players if i would consider running qualifiers for our players for the Scottish Pool Assiciation's IM events for 2015. 

The IM's are 5 national ranking events held throughout the year at various venues around the country, which you can qualify for through local qualifiers. It is £30 to enter and become a member of the SPA aswell as being added to the national ranking list. Players will gain ranking points, starting in the qualifers depending on how far you get....

Queens Beat FSC To Stay Top

The Queens Hotel kept up their undefeated streak on Monday night and remain at the top of Wick & District Pool Leagues division two.  Harry Candeland was the key player for Queens as he helped his side to a comfortable 8-4 victory over Francis Street Club.  Retro2 and Mountain Dew are also still undefeated with both teams in joint second place, two points behind the league leaders.  The Retro side won in convincing fashion, defeating Bayview2 10-2, and Mountain Dew were held to a 6-6 draw aga...

Bayview1 Stay Top In Week 4

Steve Atkins' Bayview1 team remain at the top of Wick & District Pool League's division one after an extremely hardfought 7-5 win over Suzanne Carter's Camps1.  Mark Alexander's 8-ball clearance in the opening frame got the Camps side off to a great start, but Bayview would win the next three to turn thing around.  The newly promoted Camps1 worked hard and would level the match at 5-5 against the experienced Lybster side.  Bayview1 would win the last two frames to clinch victory, with Arthur ...

Mountain Dew & Queens Top Division 2

The Mountain Dew have joined the Queens Hotel at the top of Wick & District Pool League's Division Two, thanks to a convincing 9-3 victory over Crown2 on Monday Night.  Andy Bunn's Mountain side got off to a great start and took a 3-1 lead, but Crown2 bounced back to trail 4-3.  Mountain Dew took control of the match and won the five remaining frames, with John Cowie and Michael Sutherland winning all three of their games.  The Queens Hotel secured another three points this week thanks to a h...
