Francis St Club & Camps2 Make It To Cup Final

Graham Harper's Francis Street Club side have made it to Wick & District Pool League's Rockwater Shield Final in their debut season.  A fantastic team performance helped them ease past first division side Commercial 12-4 on aggregate.  After their 6-2 first leg win, the club side required only three frames and were in no mood for messing about as they quickly booked their place in the final.  Fine performances from Ricky Hernandez and Danny Innes helped them take a 2-0 lead, before captain Gr...

Queens Clinch Vital Win Over Seaforth

The Queens pool team recorded their most important win of the season on Monday night, and now move out of the relegation zone after their 7-5 win over the Seaforth Club.  James Dow got the Queens team off to a good start, before Kevin Lightly leveled the match at one frame each.  Kevin Beales and Craig Durrand played well to give the club side a 3-1 lead, but wins from Brian Robertson and Jim Bain made it 3-3 at the halfway stage of the match.  After the next two frames were shared, it was Ro...

Crown1 Knock Bayview1 Off Top Spot

An outstanding team performance from Crown1 saw them knock Bayview1 off top spot thanks to an 8-4 victory in week 11 of the Wick & District Pool League.  Ted Gunn and Alan Larnach both completed total clearances for their respective teams in this match, but Willie Miller was the man of the match as his superb play helped him win all of his games.  Bruce Honeyman's Camps2 side move back to the top of division one after an extremely hard fought victory against Greg Simpson's Sinclair Bay side. ...

Francis Street Club Shock Commercial In Cup Upset

The first legs of Wick & District Pool League's Rockwater Shield semi finals produced the match of the season in one, and a massive upset in the other.  Alan Larnach's Crown1 team hosted Bruce Honeymans Camps2 in a match that produced three 8-ball total clearances and some first class finishing.  Ryan Carter got the Camps Bar side off to a great start, before Alan Stewart leveled it a 1-1 in two extremely close frames.  Martin Hill put Camps2 back in the lead at 2-1 and an outstanding finish ...
