The Blackstairs Lounge hosted a great weekend of 8 ball pool as fourteen teams battled it out for the fourth annual Bfest Pairs Championships. Teams were drawn into two groups of seven, where two teams from each group would qualify for the semi final stage the next day. Good luck to all 14 pairs for this weekends Bfest Pairs Championships. Two groups of 7 will battle it out on Saturday with the top two teams from each group qualifying for Sundays semi finals.
The prize fund is £280.
Winner - £160
R-up - £80
Semi Finalists - £20
More prize money may be added, aswell as other prizes.

Thirty two participants battled it out last Saturday in the Retro Bar for the 32nd annual Captains Cup event. After twelve hours of pool, it was George Smith who would win his second Captains Cup title by defeating four time champion Ryan Carter 5-4 in an epic final. In the top half of the draw, Smith defeated Aidan Ross and Alan Steven before knocking out his team mate Tam Sutherland 3-1 in the quarter final. Retro will host the 32nd annual Captains Cup event this Sataurday.
No entries will be taken after midnight on Friday, so teams have until then to submit their 2 players plus any other players who want to be put on the reserve list. If there are spaces left, then those who are on the reserve list will have the opportunity to get into the tournament. Any draw for reserve players will be done on a pro-rata basis to make it fair for all teams.
