The Seaforth Club won the division two title in style on Monday night,
in their first ever season in The Wick & District Pool League. A
long grueling opening frame was eventually won by Gary McAlpine putting
the Seaforth Club 1-0 up against Bayview2. The pre-match nerves started
to settle as the soon to be crowned champions raced into a 4-0 lead,
with some fine play from Greg Beveridge, Craig Durrand and Kevin

Camps2 Win Derby To Go Clear At Top

The Camps derby proved to be a classic encounter on monday night, with
one team fighting relegation and the other fighting to retain their
championship.
William Ewart got the match underway, but failed to pot
anything off the break which resulted in Camps2 player Ryan Carter
clearing the table in 1 visit to leave Ewart with 7 balls on the table.
This
didnt seem to put off the Camps1 players in the slightest as they won

Queens2 Go Top & Bayview1 Back On Track

Both the Blackstairs1 and The Francis Street Club's title challenges
were dealt a blow, after 6-5 defeats in week 14 of The Wick &
District Pool League.
The Francis St Club hosted Crown1, and quickly
went 4-2 down after the singles matches. The FSC got themselves
straight back into it by winning all three of the doubles frames to take
a 5-4 lead. However it was composure & the desire to win that
resulted in Crown1 winning the last two frames for a 6-5 victory.

Camps2 & FSC book places in final

Monday night saw four top class teams fight it out for a place in The
Rockwater Shield cup final. Second division league leaders The Seaforth
Club fought to the death in their semi final match against The Francis
Street Club, but at 5-5 in the second leg disaster struck as they potted
the black and white to hand victory to The Francis Street Club with a
12-10 aggregate scoreline.

Camps2 Go Top On Frame Difference

An eventful week in the Wick & District Pool
league resulted in three teams sitting on 20 points, with Camps2 having
the advantage in the title race on frame difference.
Bayview1 were
knocked off top spot after being defeated by a talented Crown1 side.
Bruce Davidson continued his fabulous form, by winning all three of his
games and potting the winning black in a 7-4 victory for Crown1.
