The top two teams in division 2 battled it out as The Queens2 hosted The
Seaforth Club.
The match was closely fought as expected, with both
teams playing some quality pool. Former Captains Cup winner Martin Hill
returned to The Wick & District Pool League to play for Queens2 in
this match, and Hill showed that he hasnt lost his touch as he potted
the all important winning black to clinch a 6-5 victory for Queens2.
The Queens side now sit joint top of division 2 with a game in hand.

Holders Convincing In Cup Semi-final

This week saw the first legs of The Rockwater Shield semi-finals take
place, with 4 strong teams battling it out for a place in this seasons
final.
The current holders Camps2 traveled out to Lybster to face
division one league leaders Bayview1. Jimmy Riach got the holders off to
a great start, but the match was leveled at 1-1 thanks to some
outstanding potting from Bayview's Angus Mackay. Camps2 captain Bruce

Bayview1 & Seaforth Club Top Their Divisions

The match of the night took place out in Lybster as both The Bayview1
and Camps2 looked for the win that would take them to the top of
division one.
The defending champions Camps2 got off to a great
start, winning the opening two frames. The third frame looked to be
going the way of the Camps aswell, until an outrageous fluke clinched
the frame for the Bayview side. This turned out to be the turning point

The Calm Before The Storm

Week 10 in the wick & district pool league saw
the top 2 teams record comfortable victories. League leaders Bayview1
coasted to a 9-2 win against Sinclair Bay, keeping them 2 points clear
at the top.
Camps2 also made things look easy with an 8-3 win over a
tough Commercial side. Camps' player Ian Mcdonald and The Comm's Lee
Kerr were the outstanding players of the match, both recording total
