Francis St Get Vital Win

Week 5 in The Wick & District Pool League saw 2 on-form teams battle it out for a vital 2 points.
With Both Crown1 and The Francis Street Club on 6 points before the match, the winning team would be in great position for a title challenge.
The Francis Street Club quickly raced into a 5-1 lead, with only Bruce Davidson winning his singles match for The Crown.

Bayview "1" Top The Table

Week 4 in the Wick & District Pool League saw the top 2 teams play each other.  Crown1 Traveled out to Lybster to play Bayview1 but were convincingly beaten 8-3, putting the Bayview team top of the league and still unbeaten.
The Blackstairs2 were also out in Lybster, and quickly went 4-0 up against The Commercial.  But The Comm showed that "never give up" attitude, coming back and winning the match 6-5.
The Francis Street Club also had a 6-5 win, in a close battle with the Camps1.

Mistakes By The Paper

Just seen today's paper, quite a few mistakes they made in both leagues.  As you can see from my write-up on here and on caithness.org Bayview "1" beat Queens, not Bayview "2".  And The Commercial won 12-4, not 2-4.

Im Glad i post my write-ups on here and caithness.org, otherwise people would think that im the one making the mistake.

if you have a look at the Thurso league table in the paper, see if u can notice the MASSIVE fuck up they made.

Rockwater Shield Last 16

Monday Night saw some big turnarounds as the 2nd legs of the Rockwater Shield took place.
After being 6-4 down from the first leg, holders Camps2 had to beat Blacktairs1 6-3 or better.  The Nerves showed in the first frame as Jimmy Riach eventually overcame Tam Sutherland, but Blackstairs1 levelled it at 1-1 thanks to Hamish New.  The Next frame saw Camps' David Hendry face off against Stuart Mckenzie, in a quick frame Hendry had a chance of a total clearance but missed his last yello...
